Classic Cinema Online

I was doing some research into the history of animation recently and discovered that a lot of the famous early films which are mentioned in the history books are available on YouTube. Previously I would've had to go to a university library or order some specialty box set to see these shorts. Now, I can read about Felix the Cat and a few seconds later be seeing it.

Classic Cinema Online is a site that catalogs links to old movies -- and not all of them are so ancient as to be automatically public domain. There seems to be a preponderance of B-movies going all the way into the 1970's.

The site loads very slowly, maybe because it has become suddenly popular. They don't seem to be hosting any of the videos, so I imagine it's a crapshoot whether the video stays online. Nonetheless, it's great, as I say, if you read or hear about an old movie, to be able to start watching it minutes later.
