Blackberry and iPhone Compatible Quicktimes

Hot tip if you're dealing with producers who are always away from their computers but never their smartphones. Send a link to the Blackberry OR iPhone with the following:

THE SPECS

H.264, 1500kbps, 480x360, 29.97fps - H.264 Baseline Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz. This contained in an MP4 (i.e. it has an MP4 extension). The key to making files work on both the iPhone and the Blackberry is the “Baseline Profile”. This was created with Quicktime Pro. This can also be done right from the AVID. Please note that this won’t work with Compressor. At this time, Compressor does not give you the option to select the “Baseline Profile” when encoding a file.

Soapbox films offers a step-by-step with screen shots.
