Stull: Phase Four, Distribution

As some readers have already surmised from my epic post about DVD distribution, my horror short "Stull" will soon be entering the distribution phase. This weekend, working with an awesome sound artist named Bryan Parker, we locked the 5.1 channel mix. I will be creating masters in various configurations this week and be drawing up the festival submission strategy, as well as continuing research on DVD options.

I do want the DVD to have the 5.1 surround mix, and I'll be prioritizing festivals that can take the HD version with the 5.1 mix as well. This is my preferred method for people seeing this short -- and I'm pretty much bursting to see it with an audience in a big theater under these conditions.

I'm also going to be working on a web distribution/promotion strategy. Keep checking this space because I'll be writing epic posts like the DVD one about my thoughts on these areas too.
