Panasonic GH1

Stu is, as usual, frothing with excitement about another still/video camera crossover, this one from Panasonic...

ProLost: Panasonic GH1

Just remember that these DSLRs are still designed primarily to be DSLRs -- although in his followup post Stu notes that Panasonic may have addressed the rolling shutter problem that haunts the latest Nikon and Cannon offerings. (I except the new line of cameras proposed by RED, which most definitely are designed to be both still and motion cameras.) At some point, somebody's going to make a prosumer video camera that doesn't need a bulky attachment to use interchangeable lenses. And then it will be onto the next holy grail -- possibly 3D.

I'm still on the lookout for a good indie 3D solution.
