Why do indies ape Hollywood?
Dear Indie Filmmaker,I saw some of your movies at Sundance and Slamdance this year and I was deeply inspired. Inspired by your commitment to both the on-going development of your craft and your unshakable determination to find an audience for your work.
However, I couldn't help but notice that there are places where you're still stuck in ways of thinking that slow you down, compromise your art, and dilute your message. This is a letter written with deep sincerity, and from my intense desire to see you succeed in liberating your mind, and reaching all those other minds.
