Deck Notes: Sony SRW-5500

Not that this will be much help to anyone without the connective tissue of explanations, but I wanted to make sure some notes I wrote during a presentation by a tech were internationally available. If you're having problems figuring out a Sony HDCam-SR deck, use the Operations Support number listed at the bottom:

Nav menus w/ twist knob and arrow pad

Tip: Up the detail gain to 75 for digi down-conversion

REC FORMAT - Switch manually - auto won't show all audio channels

FC = Format Converter only one - 59.94i to get SD w/ char

SYS-REC format

Tri-level sync - get it! or Double the sync probs of an HDW-1800 deck

System Bank your common frequencies and color samplings

PB/EE Playback

REGENE SOURCE - int-L
TCG MODE - prst
RUN MODE - rec

SET (button near num pad)
TIMER SET (F2)

longer pre-rolls - 10 sec for NITRIS
