According to a SAG source I chatted with last night, at least some people in the actors union think the WGA is deluded in thinking the strike will end anytime soon. No one is hoping for it of course, and it may just be SAG thinking they are the pre-eminent union in Hollywood, but apparently SAG is quietly making preparations for a strike.

Good news for independents: as long as the ink on the contract is dry pre-strike, non AMPTP producers can shoot during the strike. Ah, may it hasten the day when indie producers are the only producers.
