Bravo Teamsters
The Artful Writer: Well Done, Leadership!
Am I rooting for a strike? No. I know several people who will be fired the day the strike goes into effect. What I do like is the leverage that the Teamsters give the WGA. (Rumor is, the WGA has told picketers to have doughnuts ready to keep Teamsters happy. Is that all it takes?)
If the Teamsters won't cross a picket line, Hollywood won't run. (Not that they wouldn't be running crippled without the lobotomy of no writers.) Teamsters are the guys who move everything from point A to point B and that's exactly what production is. The producers know this, so I'm betting the negotiations will start getting more serious.
