RitM: Moondance
On Friday evening, Lillian and I got our first experience representing a film at a film festival. Rain in the Mountains was playing at Moondance, which is in LA, at Universal Citywalk of all places.
The screening happened at 7pm on a Friday, so it wasn't exactly full. But still, it was fun to see the movie with an audience (that was mostly our friends). They rushed everyone out after the screening, and the 'Q&A area' was filled by the big crowd that had come to see a Dalai Lama movie. One audience member hung around to talk to us anyway. Her comment was great: "I see a lot of movies at film festivals, and they are mostly depressing. I liked this one because it was so light and funny. Thank you." I felt kind of sheepish accepting thanks on behalf of Joel & Christine, but it was nice to hear.
