Rain in the Mountains is having a little homecoming soon…

“Rain in the Mountains” comes to the Rainier Independent Film Festival

NEW YORK, NY – Foxhall Films is pleased to announce that their film, “Rain in the Mountains” will be showing at the Rainier Independent Film Festival.

“We are proud to bring this film to Washington state,” said Joel Metlen, co-director of “Rain in the Mountains.” “To get to show the film in the shadow of Mt. Rainier – where the film was shot and where much of the cast and crew come from – is really special.”

Recently awarded “Best Comedy” at the Buffalo Niagara Film Festival, “Rain in the Mountains” is the tale of Eric Smallhouse. Eric is a Native American who believes it’s his destiny to lead his people back to the old ways. Undaunted by his complete lack of knowledge about those ways, he drags his son on a quest to reclaim the past. Failing miserably, Eric begins to think that the modern world with its modern conveniences is the real enemy, and his antics soon leave him on the run from the authorities.

The film will have two showings at the festival. The first screening will be on Saturday, May 5 at 3:30 PM at the Yurt@Wellspring. (54922 Kernahan Rd E, Ashford, WA 98304). There will be an encore screening on Sunday, May 6 at 9:00 AM at the Nisqually Lodge Inn. (31609 SR 706 E, Ashford, WA 98304)
