X-men 3 Effects

I never wrote a full-blown review of X-men 3 and, as such, never commented on the special effects, which were very well done. One of the most subtle was the 'anti-aging' of Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan in an early sequence. It was so seamless, I had assumed it was done with makeup. In fact, it was a highly complex use of many tools and techniques, and a lot of digital artist manhours. Fxguide covers this effect and more.
