Memorial Day Weekend

Hope everyone had a good long weekend like I did. My brother was in town and we painted it red. Still recovering.

I did mangage to see this weekend's box office champ: X-men 3. I doubt I'll get around to writing a review, but I enjoyed the movie. (Part of that may have been seeing it on a Saturday night at Mann's Chinese with a very enthusiastic crowd.) Even though the trailers before the movie included Nacho Libre and Superman, the crowd's most overwhelmingly enthusiastic response was for SoaP. That's right, Snakes on a Plane.

In Rain in the Mountains news, Joel has taken the trouble of creating a stills gallery -- with images taken directly from the final feature. There's also some cool side-by-sides demonstrating color correction. Check it out.
