I’m Not Dead

Just been busy. There goes my streak of a post a day.

I guess I can announce some upcoming stuff, since I'm trying to work on longer posts of greater substance, and need to sweeten the empty trail with some crumbs.

The most exciting thing on the horizon will take place in the D.C. area in late June. I'll be blogging the making of another movie, the Untitled Zak Forrest Project -- yes the Zak of the loaf of bread mount. If you ever read the comments here, you've probably gathered how much insanity and genius Zak has managed to blend like jam into yogurt. There are shots in the movie so complicated he has been diagramming them for years.

I've also got a review of Art School Confidential I'll drop probably Sunday, and an article percolating about how the Holllywood studio system could be reworked to reduce risk, allow greater creative freedom and make more money. Bob Iger, pay attention.

Plus updates to the popular HD Cameras Comparison, a new comparison of non-linear editing systems for indies and more.
