Cannes, anyone?
GreenCine Daily has a metric buttload of Cannes coverage, in their usual elliptical style.
Here is the list of films. Pedro Almodovar's new film, Volver, is in competition. Richard Linklater has both Fast Food Nation and A Scanner Darkly there. Sofia Coppola's mod Marie Antoinette is also in competition. Of course, the best films will turn out to be, as always, the ones that against all adversity and without political connections or fame made it to the international platform that is Cannes. It's a shame that only film journals like the ones GreenCine links to are expressly dedicated to covering these films in greater depth than a few sentences.
