RitM: Discs a-poppin!

Rain in the Mountains DVD menuWhat is Rain in the Mountains?

Lillian and I sat down for Rough Cut #2, which came in the mail on Friday. Once again I am revved up about this movie, and proud to have been a part of it!

Joel, Christine and the composers have been busy. The movie is a ton more polished. I can't wait to see it on the big screen.

On Joel's post-production blog, the latest is a word on DVD Studio Pro. Joel is pro-simplicity when it comes to DVDs for festival submissions, which I agree with one hundred percent:

Most of the DVDs that I'll create will just be for festival submissions and all they want to see is the movie. A long, complex menu sequence will most likely only wear on their patience instead of impressing them. I know it annoys me when a DVD takes forever to get to the menu selections. I've also seen a lot of DVD menus that are either hard to read or are confusing.
