More About the Panasonic AG-HVX200 HD Camcorder
A friend of mine called me not too long ago asking a lot of questions about the HVX200, because he was thinking of using several of them for a documentary. I told him what I knew: the new P2 recording technology is reallly cool and really expensive -- and basically untested.
Well, finally some tests are filtering out. Digital Post Production had some serious difficulties getting the media off the P2 cards with both USB2.0 and Firewire. CNet recommends dumping the cards entirely and recording direct-to-disk.
