RitM: Portents

This weekend is a rehearsal bonanza. In the course of calling everyone to remind them what scenes they needed to have memorized, Lillian learned that one of our actors had a death in the family. Needless to say, he won't be here this weekend. So Christine did some quick schedule changes and Lillian made another round of calls.

When making a movie, it's tempting to interpret every setback as a portent of doom for the project. Likewise, when we have a good location meeting, like we did yesterday at the Erickson farm, it's easy to feel the opposite. But this project is a long haul and we need level heads the whole way through. Panic and celebration both waste time.
