Update 10/2/04

So last night I attended the opening night of the New York Film Festival. I'll be posting all about it when I have time. From the only raffle I've ever won, I also got tickets to the after-party at Tavern on the Green. Needless to say I am tired this morning.

But to relay the results of the meeting. I learned the guys have been attempting to blog (you can actually read Brandon's comments here). Hopefully have them making full posts soon. We talked with a director, a second-year NYU grad student named Sophia. Not much came of that, but hopefully she'll read the script and we'll likewise see some examples of her work. The getting-to-know-you song and dance. Finding a director is worse than dating.

Deadlines and Timelines...

This weekend when I'm not at the NYFF, I'm going to have to be writing. I need to finish a pre-draft before Ernest leaves town Tuesday. The general plan is this: I have a new clean draft ready to go in two weeks. Then we take another three to four weeks to rehearse it, culminating in a reading.

Finally, we're holding off on incorporation until we're sure we're getting the biggest bang for our buck. The website nylovessmallbiz.com, run by the state of New York, is putting us in touch with a small business counselor.

Now... breakfast.
