An article in the British Prospect Magazine argues that Asian cinema has a greater wealth of intellect these days, something that Hollywood is more than happy to plunder. To the writer Mr. Cousins’ credit, he points out that this a cross-cultural dialogue dating back at least to the early American Westerns/Kurosawa samurai/Star Wars days.

The article talks a lot about House of Flying Daggers. See my review of Zhang Yimou’s latest.
